
Jonita holds a Masters of Arts in biblical studies. She is a 2006
graduate of Harford Leadership Academy and was chosen to deliver
the graduating address. With Toastmasters International, she holds
the highest rank: Distinguished Toastmaster.
She has served on many boards over the years including: Habitat
for Humanity, the Academy of Finance, Extreme Family Outreach,
and Mid-Atlantic Christian University. In 2008 she was a delegate to
the Non-Profit Congress/Conference. For two terms she was on the
Harford County Women’s Commission and facilitate the Community
Conversations.
Jonita Shoaff was born in Illinois, raised in Texas and resides in
Maryland. She has lived in 28 houses, in eight states and three
countries. Employment has included 21 positions: half secular and
half religious, half non-profit and half for-profit.
The numbers seem to present an unstable person. Nothing could be
further from the truth. The diversity, the travel, and the adventure
are experiences that formed a teacher and mentor. Life is her
leverage for her work. In all jobs and all locations her life mantra has been Encourage the Heart and Mentor the Potential.
